Dear Friends and Fans,
As you’re probably aware, the Prima Donna family was devastated this week by the loss of David’s older brother Gabe. A tragic car accident took him away, and our hearts are broken. Prima Donna, as many of you know, is an extended family as much as a band. We are all grieving and giving David the space he needs to handle this with his family. As such, we unfortunately have no choice but to cancel our remaining dates on the Danko Jones/Nashville Pussy tour. We were having a blast with our friends in those two amazing bands, and while we would love nothing better than to blast away the clouds with them on a nightly basis, we have to bow out.
Many thanks to Justin and Scott, our allies at @atomicmusicgroup, and our manager BruceDuff, for understanding and helping us alert the venues and fans. Also, many thanks to our brothers and sisters in arm within the ranks of Danko Jones and Nashville Pussy. We also played with Danko recently on a European tour, and we’ve grown to love those guys, who are amazing at what they do and terrific people as well. Love to all of you in DJ and NP!
Most of all, thank you to the friends and fans for your understanding and heartfelt outreach. It is taken very seriously. You are in fact part of the extended Prima Donna family.
